Human Resources Manager - McDonough Distribution CenterEssential Duties:Assess, develop and implement effective methods of communication to all associates pertaining to policies, procedures, and company benefits and ensure their consistent application. Attract, recruit, train and retain managers, assistant managers, department heads and associates. Partner with operations team in developing programs to increase and maintain associate productivity and morale.· Facilitate the training and development needs for the DC team in order to achieve the highest level of competency.· Prepare and manage the HR operating budget and programs in a fiscally responsible mannerCritical Skills:Budget/Sales Responsibility: Yes  Direct Reports: Yes  Specific technical training (i.e., CPA, Engineer, etc.) Other: Solid communication skills, computer skills (Microsoft applications), interpersonal skills, analytical and math skills, problem-solving skills, and organizational skillsEducation and Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Management, Communications or related field and/or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 5-10 years Human Resources experience. Previous distribution center or manufacturing experience a plus. Train the Trainer Certification a plus. Bi-lingual English/Spanish is required. SPHR or PHR certification a plus.Physical Requirements:Ability to maneuver through storage racks, trailers, and other areas of the warehouse. Requires ability to use office equipment including, but not limited to, phone, keyboard, monitor, and calculator. Must be able to communicate effectively, both in person and on the telephone. Could be asked to provide physical activity including, but not limited to, sitting, standing, bending, stooping, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), and walking (up to 80% of day). Could be asked to operate equipment found in a distribution center environment including, but not limited to, material handling equipmentEnvironmental Requirements:Inside average office environment 80% of time; inside warehouse environment 20% of time. Depending on location and time of year, extreme high and low temperatures within the building will be experienced. Average noise levels within the office environment; noise level within the warehouse are within normal decibel level. No personal protective equipment required
