A solid future in retailing has never looked brighter for those career-oriented professionals with a passion for retailing.INVENTORY CREW MEMBERPosition is located in Northern Chicago market.The individual selected for this position will be responsible for the following: Physically counts merchandise on the selling floor and stock roomScans UPC and records counts using a hand held computer deviseVisually inspects merchandise as it is being counted to detect damaged items and items that are incorrectly pricedPeriodically conducts audits of retail prices of merchandise to insure reliability of pricing systemCommunicates with leadership and store team members while assisting customersWorks with confidential informationOther related duties as requiredCompensation for travel time and mileage between store assignments providedIdeal candidates must possess the following:High school graduate or equivalent with knowledge of general business math and bookkeepingMinimum of six month of job training and experienceInterpersonal skills necessary to deal courteously and effectively with store leadership and customers while using good sound judgmentVisual and mental effort required to perform work of a repetitive naturePhysical effort required for standing and walking at 95% of shiftPhysical effort required to frequently lift and/or move heavy objectsSome flexibility with hours, working around the core hours of 7:00am - 5:00pmOccasional weekends and some overnight stays requiredMust be dependable and reliableIf you have the experience described, log on to our website at www.joinmeijer.com and apply online.
