IT Production Control Manager

Manager (Manager/Supervisor of Staff) Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree IT Production Control Manager     ACCOUNTABILITIES   The Production Control Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating the day-to-day activities of the production control staff in order to maximize benefits while minimizing risks.   This position reports to Manager, IT Production & Control.   ACCOUNTABILITIES ·  Plan, directs, manage and support the daily operations activities of the IT Operations group. ·  Manages job scheduling, online application availability and production escalation to ensure that service levels and performance measurements are met. ·  Responsible for monitoring processes and identifying and correcting any errors as it occurs throughout the processing procedures. ·  Provide guidance to staff regarding work procedures, technical issues, work priorities, and special requests. ·  Provide leadership to the Production Control team by directing, coaching, training, and developing personnel to ensure the team’s technical proficiency and customer service levels meet company standards. ·  Identifies, recommends, plans, and implement improvements in production control operations processes, procedures and technology. ·  Leads projects and tasks assignments within budget and time-line. ·  Troubleshoot technical or operational problems and take corrective action to resolve conflicts. ·  Partner with Production Support Manager for the transition of projects to production and ensuring errors handling procedures and processes are in place and followed. ·  Plan and conduct performance appraisals of Operations staff, administer disciplinary action, raises, and promotion when necessary. ·  Manage 24x7 coverage and support production systems to meets our established SLA agreements. ·  Performs other job duties as required. Experience & Education ·  A bachelor degree in computer sciences or related fields with a minimum of 5years of progressive experience in Computer Operations or  Production Control or a combination of education with equivalent work experience. ·  Strong experience with IT Scheduler systems ·  Experience with managing a Data Center Operations group. ·  Experience in retail or retail distribution environment preferred.   Competencies & Skills ·  Strong knowledge and experience with testing of reporting packages and data extraction processes, including performance testing. ·  Strong knowledge with UNIX OS(Aix preferred) and the tools available on UNIX (vi, make etc). ·  Strong knowledge of the following system, application, and/or language: relational database and multi-dimensional DB technology, such as NT-based networks, UNIX, Oracle and MS SQL, ASP.NET and/or Visual Basic.NET, Crystal reports and/or Hyperion Essbase, and SQL. ·  Illustrates a dedication to meeting requirements of internal and external customers, responding to all customer requests promptly and thoroughly. ·  Strong communication skills including ability to work in a team environment, give honest, direct feedback and are a solid verbal and written communicator. ·  Upholds and furthers HOTT’s culture and values.  Inquisitiveness and open mind regarding teen music/fashion trends. ·  Meets deadlines, prioritizes appropriately, copes well with change, and maintains composure under pressure. ·  Is accountable for results, approaches obstacles proactively and looks for ways to resolve problems and issues.
