RCG IT is interviewing for an IT testing Process Engineer that will provide leadership for all phases of testing for our Plano, TX client. Candidates are required to have US Citizenship or Green card or EAD Card. Position is for 11 mos. with potential for hire.• Must be able to define and implement testing processes and product metrics and measures. • Will customize and deliver testing methodology training to project teams. • Must have excellent experience with HP/Mercury’s Quality Center/Test Director, LoadRunner, Functional Testing (QTP/Winrunner), and Business Process Testing (BPT). • In addition, will need Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint. Must have advanced written and verbal skills. WHAT ARE THE SKILLS AND TYPE OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION? • Degree in Computer Science preferred or equivalent degree. • Proven, significant experience leading the definition, documentation, and enhancement of software processes across an enterprise or division of a large enterprise with a focus on quality assurance and testing. • Proven experience in all phases of software development lifecycle and project management within a variety of technologies and applications. • Detailed knowledge of one or more business areas and the applications and processes that support them. • Specialized expertise in implementing metrics and providing technical advice and counsel to application and technology development teams regarding process/product measurements. • Understanding of process standards and technology and its practical application to complex systems. • Can act in a partnering role with development and with peers in the Application Test Center. • Working knowledge of industry standards such as IEEE, CMMi, ISO, SOX, PMI, etc. • Working knowledge of test tools such as HP/Mercury’s Quality Center/TestDirector, LoadRunner, Functional Testing (QTP/Winrunner), Business Process Testing (BPT), etc. • Excellent interpersonal and client skills. Mentor software process and quality transfer to projects. Drive quality upstream. WHAT IS THE ROLE OF THIS JOB? " Work with the Testing Process Team, Test Automation & Tools Team, Test Design Team, Test Lab Environment Team, and others as required to tailor, customize, document, and evolve testing processes. " Facilitate IT testing process design and continuous improvement using industry standard practices. " Define and implement Testing process and product metrics and measures. " Customize and deliver testing methodology training to project teams including both verification (technical reviews) and validation (unit, integration, function, system, and user acceptance testing). " Collaborate with other initiative groups to institutionalize the Application Test Center's quality and test requirements into their processes. " Drive quality and testing requirements into and across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). " Understand business drivers, quality risks, and tradeoffs with the ability to propose risk mitigation approaches to meet the business need. Position requires positive, can-do attitude with customer-centric view. " Build relationships with project teams. " Provide leadership for all phases of testing. WHAT ARE THE ACCOUNTABILITIES AND KEY MEASURES OF THIS POSITION? Maintain, manage, and continuously improve quality and test methodologies in support of the SDLC. Consult with peers and project teams on process designs which facilitate software product quality and proactively assess risk. Ensure application and technology teams clearly understand the methodologies for both validation and verification through direct training and through influence.
