Inventory Control Manager - Lincolnshire, IL

POSITION SUMMARY: Manages and controls inventory integrity on the fulfillment center. Develops and implements inventory systems, policies, procedures, and standards for controlling the inventory. Plans, manages, controls and resolves processes with regard to the inventory including but not limited to: physical inventory, adjustments, damages, report tracking, cycle counts, and systemic inventory accuracy from entry-point of product into the facility until end-of-day is run.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Manages and controls Information Systems and Warehouse Management System. Develops and implements systems, policies, procedures and standards for processes within the fulfillment center. Foster a high level of internal customer service within Staples distribution, Corporate IS, Merchandising, and the Retail group. 2. Develop wave management /control policies and follow-up procedures. Develop replenishment management controls to coincide with wave management. 3. Manage and support all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates. Ensure all procedures are followed for the building security and product loss prevention for the fulfillment center. 4. Train Develop and promote staff and create a proactive, fair and consistent environment for all associates. Oversee and develop management staff to understand and execute all proper and positive associate relations. Provide coaching and training in team initiatives to obtain associate involvement and achieve appropriate performance and quality levels. 5. Create, manage and support recognition and communication programs that foster an environment of teamwork for associates.Requirements:Bachelor's Degree is typically required for this position. 5 - 8 years relevant working experience is typically required for this position. Experience/working knowledge of warehouse management and computerized systems. Strong planning and organizational skills. Ability to work in deadline driven environment. Mathematical/analytical skills to prepare and interpret reports. Positive associate relations skills (communication, coaching, motivating).
