Inventory & Planning Manager
Lead the team to plan, manage and buy inventory to meet or exceed stated RONA, sales, margin, inventory turn and service (fill rate/in stock) objectives. Work cross functionally with merchants and sales force to optimize core, ad, and promotional sales and margin opportunities through accurate forecasting and effective execution. Manage and develop associates through commitment to Team Care values. Understand and effectively manage relationships throughout the Supply Chain, including Distribution Centers (DC), Fulfillment Centers (FC) and Transportation to achieve synchronization goals of optimizing service and cost, while assisting in reaching Supply Chain Excellence Standards. Provide direction and assistance to Planners to convert merchandise strategies into annual Financial Plans, Monthly reforecasts, and Item Plans for assigned channels and categories. Develop Departmental objectives and tactics that tie to Divisional goals for annual budget and work closely with planners on class goals. Direct and assist Planners and their Product Managers in developing assortments and line reviews for assigned channels and categories that are consistent with company and department strategic, merchandising, and financial goals. Lead the team's effort in converting Ad and Promo Forecasts into action plans that include vendor coordination, order and receipt plans, kiosk forecasts and Ad Residual elimination. Work with Product management teams to identify opportunities for enhancing sales and margin, promotional activities and product transitions. For Retail, provide direction and assistance to Inventory Analysts to meet inventory goals including in stock, fill rate, and turns (through effective use of Open to Buy process), Maintain focus on DC efficiency and make sure the team achieves its portion of Company Flow goals. Provide leadership and guidance on working with other parts of the supply chain team to ensure compliance with SC standards and overall SC goals and to optimize vendor performance including fill rate, on time to due date, lead times and order processing efficiency. For North American Delivery (NAD) and cross channel IAs, manage team to meet or exceed NAD Fulfillment Center instock, fill rate, and turn goals, including core and NAD promo. Work with Merchandising team and other parts of the Supply Chain, to maximize our service and returns from all facets of vendor facing interaction, including receipts, returns, in stock, and backend dollars. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree required 4 - 6 years related work experience required Planning Systems - Knowledge and understanding of a significant Merchandise Planning system, e.g., Evant (Evant experience preferred), Arthur, MMS, etc. to provide skills necessary to lead the team's planning efforts Replenishment Systems - Knowledge and understanding of demand forecasting systems, e.g., E3(E3 experience preferred), Evant, Inform, etc. to provide skills necessary to lead team's Replenishment effortsExcel and database management - ability to provide tools, prepare reports, analyze data and run queries for data Communication Skills - Demonstrated strength in both verbal and written skills and interpersonal relationship management Problem Resolution - Ability to proactively identify business issues and provide results or completed action plans and resolutions Apply
