We are redefining comfort footwear and are more than a store that sells shoes; we are a store that provides a true comfort experience.  The 'Jr. Buyer, Internet' reports to the Director of Internet Merchandise and plays an integral role merchandising categories of thewalkingcompany.com.  The Jr. Buyer will work along side the Internet Buyer.Responsibilities: Assort website with product that is in line with company objectives in terms of product selection, margin, and sales goals. Negotiate with vendors to increase profitability of internet division. Develop exit strategy at season end to move through product, which will allow us to maintain our margin standard. Maintain data integrity in merchandising systems (i.e. Merchant grid and AS400). Create purchase orders for all preseason buys for internet product. Analyze business and drive sales.Experience: Previous buying experience, assistant buyer College degreeOther Qualifications: Must be able to do physical work and lift boxes up to 30 pounds.
