LOGISTICS DEPARTMENT MANAGER

L.L.Bean is seeking a retail professional to fill the role of Logistics Department Manager at our Tyson's Corner Center location in McLean, Virginia. In this key role, you will enhance the customer shopping experience by effectively processing merchandise, leading your team to achieve results in stock levels and ensuring the overall satisfaction of our customers through efficiencies at the registers and on the sales floor.

The successful candidate will have experience managing retail sales volume of between $10M and $20M. You will use your experience in inventory management, merchandising and backstock management to supervise back room activities and operations. An organizational expert, you understand how systems and processes can improve the flow of merchandise into the store and continue to make our customers raving fans. Your strong communication skills will help you in leading a team to execute your stock plans and projects expediently.A background in apparel merchandising is essential as well as the ability to design and monitor presentation to support brand consistency.

You have demonstrated experience in managing people and have the ability to motivate, provide guidance, counsel and give direction to employees relative to continuing career growth. You are readily available and approachable to receive and act upon employee issues/conflicts for resolution while representing management’s position on policies, procedures, and practice.



You frequently communicate business goals and performance expectations for your area of responsibility to direct reports, within the context of broader organizational goals, while assuring compliance with company policies and programs governing performance management.
