Lead Analyst - Distributed Systems

The Lead Analyst will design, administer and implement Windows, Linux, and Macintosh systems to maintain a secure and healthy environment. They will define, create, maintain and monitor system and infrastructure components for application systems. They will also Provide guidance and consultation to internal programmers and business partners regarding Tiffany and Company's distributed system environment. You will be responsible for software and hardware analysis and interoperability. Under this responsibility you will maintain up-to-date knowledge about system software supplied by manufacturer. Analyze new and modified hardware and software in relation to business processes. Implement new hardware and software or modifications in an optimal manner without adverse effects on production. Thoroughly test and document all hardware and software installations. You will be responsible for Hardware and Software performance optimization which will include managing the administration and support of the server and operating system, network security, messaging, back-ups and system management. You also have responsibilities in the areas of hardware and software implementation as well as advanced support to resolve production problems quickly and providing possible improvements. For this position you should have six years of information technology with a concentrated Windows/Active Directory experience and four years working with networked systems. Candidate should have training in Wintel, Linux and/or Macintosh-based structure and design, environments, security, database design and management. You will also have to have knowledge of network system communication, design concepts and communication access methods along with ESX and VMWare. Must have basic knowledge of TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol), MS SQL Server, SAN (Storage Area Network) and iSeries Infrastructure. To succeed in this role you must be organized, detail oriented, a self starter, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. This role requires a candidate to have oral and written communication skills as well as an aptitude for problem solving. The candidate should have proficient computer skills in MS Office and LAN Management Systems. A bachelor's degree in Information Technology is desired.
