Local Marketing Manager

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

 

The Local Marketing Manager is responsible for the planning, execution, and success of the local marketing campaign for an assigned Store or District.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

· Learn who our customer is in a particular trade area.

· Identify where our customer resides down to the block level.

· Learn what industries our customers work in, where they recreate, and where they shop.

· Keep updated on all local events and what local media is doing that is successful

· Learn what media (programs, channels, etc) our target customers prefer.

· Work with local Store Management to design effective local campaigns that drive traffic, new accounts and sales.

· Build and execute a local program for businesses and community groups that have a large population of our target customers (including Schools and Churches)

· Operate off site promotions/activities/events

· Manage the Local Marketing Budget to maximize new accounts and sales per dollar spent.

· Design and implement customer surveys to help us improve our marketing.

· Provide reports to District on Campaigns, Success, and Expense

· Assist with special projects as needed.

 

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

 

· Ability to thrive in a fluid, demanding, and fast growth culture. 

· Organizational as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.

· Accurate typing and data entry skills.

· Communicate effectively with management, coworkers and store staff.

· Experience in negotiating value added opportunities.

· Able to work with minimal supervision and be a self-starter.

· Proficient with operating a personal computer and use of MS Excel/Word/Outlook/Access and other required programs.

· Bilingual English/Fluent Spanish (speak, read, and write)

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

 

· Require a Bachelor degree in Marketing or related field, or equivalent experience.

· Must have one to two years of management experience.
