Station Manager in Training

 

Chevron Stations Inc. (CSI) is now hiring for a Station Manager in Training in Danville, CA.

 

We are looking for enthusiastic and friendly individuals with a genuine concern for the safe operation of our stations and the safety of employees as well as customers.  You should be process-oriented, able to multi-task, and energized by a busy work environment.

 

JOB DUTIES

 

SMs are responsible for a busy retail facility with an annual expense budget of $175K-$250K.  SMs hire, train, coach, and motivate store employees; create and enforce work schedules; provide payroll reporting; and manage sales, merchandising, and in-store promotions, including inventory and cash management.  SMs must be able to respond to emergency, high-stress situations, including after-hours situations.

 

SELECTION CRITERIA

 

· Supervisory experience 1 year

· Proven experience in upholding Company customer service, safety, security, image, and cleanliness standards.

· Effective written and verbal communication skills.

· Previous retail experience, especially in a fast-paced team environment interacting with diverse customers, employees, and suppliers.  Experience in handling and accounting for cash, other forms of revenue, and inventory.

· Demonstrable planning and analytical capability.

· Valid driver’s license.

 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

 

The salary range for this position is $26K to $34K, depending on your experience, plus monthly bonus pay averaging $250.  Chevron Stations Inc. also offers its station managers medical and dental insurance, a savings plan, and tuition reimbursement program.  Career path advancement opportunities are available to qualified individuals.

 

OTHER INFORMATION

 

Successful candidates must pass a pre-employment background investigation and drug screen.  Station managers must be able to meet physical requirements of the position, such as lifting 20 pounds, and working in outdoor and in-store cooler environments.
