Manager - Credit CardsPosition Summary:Core Role: Provide value-added financial and business consultation for all aspects of the credit card program.  Create and provide daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports to track the progress of the program, including application volumes, approvals, activation rates, and sales volumes.  Provide analysis to all functional areas of both Toys and Babies, such as Store Operations, Marketing, Merchandising, and Accounting, in support of their decision-making.  Ensure consistency of data reported and consistency of information used to drive strategic decisions for the program.   Position Responsibilities:· The manager is the focus point of tabulating all data for the credit card program.  They will work with our issuing bank and database provider to gather data and disseminate reports/learnings out across the organization.  · Support Senior Management through analysis of the financial impact of ongoing and proposed business and marketing strategies and projects.· Identifies risks and opportunities to provide management with information to improve profitability, including analyzing Sales, Margin, Store Productivity, Direct Mail, Advertising Effectiveness, Basket analysis, Customer Segmentation, Category Management, New Business Strategy, Competitor Analysis, and performing in-depth analyses as required.· Influence key cross-functional business partners (heads of Merchandising and Operations) via insightful recommendations to drive profitability. · Deliver ad hoc analysis and recommendations that encompass strategic direction, optimal value creation and proper focus of resources.· Work with Accounting to ensure there is an accurate flow of revenues and expenses captured for the program.  Prepares recurring Management reports and Analysis summarizing the financial performance of the overall Company and Corporate Initiatives. This group is highly visible in the organization and candidate must be able to present results and translate statistical and business terminology to senior members of management.  Must be able to interact productively with Decision Makers. Position Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.  MBA preferred. 3-5 years of meaningful experience in financial planning & analysis in a corporate setting.  Retail operations background is a plus. Superior analytical and quantitative skills. Strong interpersonal skills including ability to work in a cross functional environment and communicate with all levels of the organization. Strong oral/written communication and presentation skills.  Can express complex ideas in simple terms Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple assignments and projects with varying deadlines.
