Manager of Applications Development & Support

Our client, a national direct marketing retailer, seeks an experienced Manager of Applications Development and Support.  This hands-on position will have extensive experience as a professional and approachable leader with a strong background in application development, support, and administration.  This position represents an employee who is both deep and broad in their technical expertise with complimentary management skills to take on issues, research root cause, and push toward timely resolution.  This person must have a proven ability to triage and resolve application admin, access, functional, data and technical integration issues.  Must be able to establish and maintain standards and procedures leading to optimized configuration management, release management, and quality assurance.

 

Qualifications include Bachelors Degree in technology and a minimum of 6-8 years of developing and administering applications.  Experience in collaborating with multiple teams of highly skilled technologists.  Java Application Development Certification a plus.  Strong negotiation and influencing skills.  Knowledge and understanding of retail industry a plus.  Ability to integrate in a rapidly changing environment.  Excellent planning skills and a proactive approach.  Excellent follow-up skills and ability to meet aggressive deadlines.  Strong oral/written communications and analytical skills. Decisive and results oriented.  Creative, strategic thinker and solutions-minded.
