Sports Entertainment company is looking for an enthusiastic, self motivated individual to fill a Merchandise Buyer Position in their Dallas/Fort Worth Headquarters.



Responsibilities

• Write, maintain and track purchase orders

• Acquire new, exclusive apparel and novelty products

• Manage adequate product mix

• Generate innovative ideas for increasing sales

• Maintain relationships with vendors

• Negotiate pricing of purchases

• Work with team to plan merchandising strategies, buys and focused product marketing

• Monitor sales to identify top selling products and determine markdowns

• Communicate with stores on new deliveries, product information and selling trends



Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

• 5 years apparel procurement experience

• Purchase order knowledge

• Knowledge of retail, internet and catalog merchandise

• Strong organizational skills

• Strong computer skills including Excel and Word

• Ability to multi-task in a busy environment

• Excellent written and editing skills

• Effective verbal and phone communication skills
