Negotiate persuasively with the market and provide leadership to the divisions.   KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Sales / MarginVendor Management Manage core vendors and merchandise performance overall (programs, key items, sales, margins) Initiate vendor intensification efforts and identifies new vendors Identifie, communicate and drive sales and gross margin of key items and key vendorsManaging Assortments Lead in identifying merchandising trends, opportunities, and new vendors Lead review and analysis of Customer (Division) performance on a department, class and item basis Strategic Planning: Provide strategic direction to brands and Private Label line development Lead in the development of a merchandise and business strategy for market brands Ensure the FOB vision and strategies are effectively communicated to the product development teamHuman Resources/Management: Responsible for MM job training requirements as well as job training for all direct reports Provide leadership, management and development of staff Provide leadership to divisions through business expertiseSKILLS SUMMARY: Bachelor's Degree in related field Excellent written and oral communication skills 3-4 years minimum Buyer experience Possess excellent analytical and strategic skills Strong negotiating and managerial skills Proficient in PC operation, MS Office, and Excel Able to travel within the U.S.Macy’s is an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to a diverse and inclusive work environment.
