Position Profile: *Will have a solid track record of success in growing/enhancing businesses. *Extensive merchandising experience in the Electronics category with highly successful companies. *Excelled within both fasted-paced branded environments as well as within specialty retail where product development exposure is more likely. *Will be a hands-on manager and strategic visionary, accompanied by strong merchant abilities * Additionally, must have professionalism and unquestionable integrity that reflects the culture of Wal-Mart. REQUIREMENTS OR QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION: (Applicants must possess all of the following to be considered) 1. Provide creative leadership and strategic direction to merchandising team while fostering an environment that encourages people to think independently. 2. Identifying emerging trends and ensuring the company has the right products to address these trends while staying true to the Wal-Mart promise as expected by the company's value-conscious customers. 3. Developing long range plans to respond to the needs of the business, but also reacting to immediate consumer feedback in order to get behind trends or get out of poor performing items. 4. Providing direction in sales planning, pricing and merchandise assortment. Will have PSI responsibility. 5. DMMs are directly responsible for profitability in there area. *Must manage all expects of the business in order to deliver expected profits. *Must teach their team to do so. Constant emphasis on coaching by walking around and mentoring is a critical function of the MM/DMM. 2. International travel and experience working with and understanding other cultures, customs and how business is conducted with multi-national conglomerates headquarters outside the US. 3.
