PRIMARY FUNCTION The Mid Level Practitioner is either a nurse practitioner or a physician assistant who has extensive education and training in the diagnosis and management of common medical conditions. The Mid-Level Practitioner champions first quality clinical care, guest experience and sales in the Clinic. They deliver on the Target Clinic Mission statement. CORE ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Accountable for: KNOWLEDGEABLE AND FRIENDLY TEAMCoaches medical assistants and team members on knowledge of company tools, core roles and Best Practices.Evaluates medical assistants and team members performance and gives feedback to the Lead Mid-Level Practitioner. SIMPLICITYEnsures medical assistants and team members follow templates in the Electronic Medical Record.Ensures adult and pediatric urgent care is provided for injuries and illnesses that present to the clinic.Ensures guests are provided with preventive care, e.g., camp and sports exams, disease management and healthcare risk screening programs. Focuses on safety SPEEDEnsures that guests are acknowledged, seen when promised and that their needs are met quickly.Ensures prescriptions are sent to pharmacies while guest is being seen by Target Clinic team members. QUALITYModels and ensures a professional healthcare culture every guest, every time.Champions guest communication product recommendations, healthcare discussions.Executes Clinic initiatives.Ensures that every guest is provided with excellent quality clinical care in accordance with current standards. Also supports the Stores Mission by: FAST, FUN, AND FRIENDLY TEAMSupervising, coaching, and training team members to achieve sales and service goals.Communicating with the STL, Lead Mid-Level Practitioner, Clinic team members, Executive Team Leader-Pharmacy, and store team to ensure effective working relationships.Providing an atmosphere where team members are Fast, Fun, and Friendly to guests and each other while positively embracing change and implementing new company initiatives.Developing and retaining talented team members.Supervising the day-to-day operations of the Clinic team.Ensuring team members understand and execute the functions in their core roles by using Targets best practices in completion of their daily tasks.Using training tools to fully train team members; following up on training events to evaluate learning progress.Ensuring team members are dressed according to Target Dress Code, including wearing a name badge.Using the Es of Excellence to complete accurate assessments of direct reports performance and potential; evaluating your own leadership skills in managing the performance of different team members; developing a personal plan to improve your performance management skills.Demonstrating leadership by providing honest feedback, coaching, mentoring and recognition.Promoting a safeness culture every day by identifying, reporting, and responding to all safeness concerns and trends in a timely manner; and by executing best practices focused on maximizing safeness. GREAT-LOOKING STORESEnsuring Clinic environment meets standards for cleanliness, safeness, and Brand presentation.Ensuring Clinic environment, including equipment and supplies, is effectively set-up to maximize workflow productivity.Providing the guests a great first impression of the Clinic. DRIVING SALES AND BRANDPerforming quality assurance steps to ensure quick and quality medical care.Documenting clinical care efficiently and completely with assistance of an Electronic Medical Record.Providing knowledge of critical Clinic data and being able to articulate challenges.Executing weekly statuses with the Lead Mid-Level Practitioner to enhance service and accountability for Clinic financial goals.Executing common store processes and ensuring the clinic team is fully using the proper communication and measurement references found on Stores Workbench and in Tools To Use.Ensuring the use of appropriate tools to drive sales and quality medical care; Adult Vaccinations and Flu Vaccinations.Driving a safety culture; leading by example, actively participating in the monthly safety focus and immediately addressing safety concerns.Driving sales and profit by ensuring adherence to all third party mandates, compliance, and incentive programs.Ensuring all legal and privacy requirements are met when on duty. BE IN STOCKUsing proper tools and resources to ensure clinic in-stocks are maximized through daily ordering and use of return programs REPORTING/WORKING RELATIONSHIPS Reports to the Lead Mid-Level Practitioner. Works with clinic team members, Pharmacy Team, executives and store team. JOB REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSCertification by a nationally recognized certification board.Current licensure in the state of practice.Education and experience required for licensure as a nurse practitioner (a registered nurse who has completed advanced education) or physician assistant (four academic years of pre-professional and professional study, including graduation from an accredited physician assistant program).Drug Enforcement Agency Certification. American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider Certification (or equivalent).Understanding of health insurance: local providers, general plan types, terminology.Excellent guest service skills.Able to think quickly on your feet to resolve guest questions.Able to handle guests concerns in a professional manner.Email and Microsoft Word experience and competence.Accurately operate terminals and handle money and other forms of payment, refunds, exchanges, etc.Organization and management, prioritization.Demonstrates Fast, Fun and Friendly attitude toward guests and other team members. Working knowledge of Target Store Clinic Operations.Excellent clinical care in accordance with current standards.Able to read instructions, reports and information on computer screens and key information on computer.Able to read labels, instructions, reports, policies and procedures.Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays, long hours) and regular attendance necessary. DESIRED REQUIREMENTSPrevious Experience with an Electronic Medical Record.Previous experience in Pediatric or Family Practice.
