NOC Technician

We are currently seeking a Network Center Operation Technician to complement our Information Systems team.  This position will be responsible for day-to-day network performance monitoring, performing routine system operations and diagnostic tests to identify and isolate network faults, and maintaining accurate network documentation for store location circuit IDs, address, and other pertinent information.

 

Responsibilities:

 

· Serve as the main point of contact for store network outages and ticket submission to carrier for proper resolution and escalation pathResponsible for the coordination of frame relay initiatives for stores with various vendors to maintain network SLAResponsible for the inventory (tracking and reporting) of network equipment, circuit and store information on appropriate mediumProvide daily communication to store management, in regards to outage resolution and downtime expectationProvide support and maintenance on network hardware such as routers and switchesProvide backup assistance to the Telecommunications Specialist in relation to troubleshooting phone line issues during peek seasons of the year



Qualifications:

 Degree in Information Systems or a related fieldMinimal technical background to understand technologies used for networking activitiesPossess and demonstrate fundamental troubleshooting skills necessary to perform operations and support functions Strong customer service and multi-tasking skillsProven ability to take the initiative by escalating and engaging proper resource where necessary
