Network Manager

The Network Manager is responsible for the direction and daily management of the Network team to meet planned corporate business objectives. The Network Manager will assist in managing the daily operations of the corporate network; including fault management, service management, and network implementation. This person will share responsibility for the quality of the network and the fulfillment of requests within the appropriate turnaround time.  They will work with other IT teams to perform network planning, implementation and security.  This person will maintain availability of all data network services and will be responsible for responding to escalations, tickets, and alerts from NOC and Helpdesk.  You will provide resolution information and work with other teams to complete impact analysis where appropriate. This person will perform maintenance and configuration tasks as well as troubleshoot and resolve network communication issues. 

 

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

BS/BA degree in Computer Science or Engineering coupled with a minimum 5+ years of hands on experience in network administration.CCNP Certification required, or equivalent qualifications with certifications and work experience.  S/he must have solid knowledge on Cisco routers like 7200, 6500, 3600, 2600; Cisco switches like 3700, 3560; Cisco PIX firewalls and Cisco VPN.  The successful candidate will have strong working knowledge with routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF) and possess excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills to resolve complex support issues.  Experience with IP routing, protocols, WAN, load balancing and ISP are required.  Must be able to work independently and also in a team environment with flexible availability.  Must have strong working knowledge of commonly used network protocols, tools and appliances (load balancers, content switching, cache devices, packet shapers, analyzers, DNS, DHCP, NTP, Syslog,, PKI, PMI, TACACS+, Radius, IPSEC, SSL, SSH,  WAP, SMTP, FTP, Frame Relay, WAN, ATM, FDDI, DSL, ISDN, SNMP). The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of network security and strong working knowledge of Network devices Operating Systems (IOS, CatOS).  S/he must have excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with a "customer focused" attitude.  After hours and weekend support is required.
