Network Operations Manager

DHC USA Inc. is seeking a hands-on Network Operations Manager for our Networking department.  The position will be based in the Rossmoyne Industrial Park.  This person will be responsible for the overall network infrastructure and supervising the network department. 

 

This person will be responsible for:

 

·  Implementing and evolving the IT department’s operational processes and crisis management.

 

·  Overseeing and participating in network budgeting, strategic and tactical planning, process re-engineering, and system strategy.

 

·  Overseeing and participating in the planning, implementation, monitoring and maintenance of all business network systems, such as sales, customer operations, telecommunications and internal communications.

 

·  Overseeing planning and implementation of backups and disaster recovery plans.

 

·  Ensuring company operates on a safe, secure network and at a 99.99% uptime.

 

·  Responding to user needs and directing networking resources to work across all levels of the organization to meet service needs and troubleshoot and resolve issues and inquires timely.

 

·  Overseeing and participating in the performance and availability of network including network analysis and upgrade/change recommendations. 

 

·  Overseeing and participating in the setup, configuration and support of the networks including development and maintenance, security and configurations. 

 

·  Exploring new technologies for future planning and potential implementation.

 

·  Interfacing with industry on telephony and information technology matters.

 

·  Supervising staff of 4 in multiple locations including responsibility for interviewing, hiring, training; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. 

 

·  Other duties as needed.

 

Our ideal candidate will have following skill set:

 

·  Bachelors or Masters Degree in computer science, information technology or systems (or other) engineering.

·  Minimum of 8 years of IT experience with 4 or more years in management.

·  At least 4 years of supporting Windows based environment.

·  Strong and comprehensive knowledge of TCP/IP, Networking, Active Directory, Firewalls, Security Management, routers and switches.

·  Successful track record in recruiting, developing, managing and retaining strong and well respected IT teams.

·  Ability to exercise technical and managerial judgment in selection of technological directions.

·  Managing service and delivering in environments with rapid change.

·  Track record of negotiating successful partnerships and/or contacts with service providers.

·  Experience in cost reduction strategies using leading edge technology to reduce overall expense.

·  Able to work “hands-on” on projects and lead by example.

·  Desire to work as a team.

·  Strong ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

·  Strong ethical standards.

·  Customer focus with the ability to balance customer needs with business priorities.

·  Enthusiastic, determination, drive and a sense of humor.

·  Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work with various staff on all levels within the organization. 

·  Ability to handle difficult situations and personnel calmly.

·  3 + years of Cisco IOS

·  Working knowledge of VLAN Environment 

·  Highly developed diagnostic and problem solving skills 

·  Experience with Cisco Call Manager 4.1/IPCC a plus

·  Experience with IT Security as it pertains to PCI compliance a plus.

·  Working knowledge of Symantec Antivirus, Numura Track-IT and Network Genera Sniffer a plus

·  Working knowledge with Blue Coat and Cisco IDS, ASA devices   

·  Working knowledge with Microsoft WSUS, Sharepoint and Exchange

·  Must be able to travel.
