Savers, Inc. is a growth oriented organization and has aggressive plans for new growth throughout the US over the next five years.Savers, Inc. is now searching for a talented PC/Network Technician to provide microcomputer and software user support to the corporate office, travelers and remote store locations.DIVERSE ROLE FUNCTIONS -Installs, configures and troubleshoots computer and laptop hardware and peripherals and tests configurations to confirm system operations. -Installs, troubleshoots and supports operating systems, utilities, communication and software applications. -Documents and responds to requests for service and reported problems. -Helps coordinate activities with network services or other information systems support and provides current status of projects to supervisor. -Helps facilitate the use of PCs by assisting, educating and supporting the end user at many levels and refers network and major hardware and software problems to Network Technician and other support personnel as needed. -Diagnoses and resolves microcomputer problems, which include hardware, operating systems, software applications, printers and modem communications.REQUIRED CREDENTIALS -Associates degree in computer science or related field, or a combination of education and experience that yields the required knowledge, skills and abilities. -3+ years of experience in hardware/software installation, configuration, NT Workstation and troubleshooting support in a medium to large (50+ workstations) corporate environment. -Working knowledge of store and field operations. -Working knowledge of potential service problems and solutions related to company specific hardware and software programs. -Demonstrated skills in hardware/software installation, configuration, Windows XP and troubleshooting support in a medium to large corporate environment. -Strong organizational skills. -Exceptional customer service abilities. -Ability to interact with all levels of the organization and to work independently or as part of a team. -Ability to communicate effectively. -Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and multi-task with minimal supervision. -Strong attention to detail and follow through is required. -Demonstrated skills in word processing and spreadsheets. -Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs. -Ability to travel (25% or less).This opportunity is a full time permanent position with Savers, Inc.
