The Operations Manager is also responsible for the functionality within the 4-walls of the Outlet Redistribution Center including the testing, cleaning, Product Repair Service, disposal of merchandise, pricing, and analysis of distressed product.QualificationsProactively leads the ORC Operations function to ensure achievement of business goals in expenses, payroll, inventory shrinkage, and associate morale.Selects, coaches, and develops strong and effective supervisor/lead associates. Develops a diverse, high performance team. Takes action as needed to ensure that all associates fully contribute to the store efforts.Develops partnerships with SLS distribution centers (e.g., DDC s, LSC s, MDO, and DCSO s), Contract Sales, and Product Repair Service units.Audits receipts of merchandise into ORC inventory.Takes ownership for full implementation of corporate programs and initiatives on expense management, productivity, and associate morale. This includes adherence to operational and selling processes (e.g., Shipping, Receiving, Pricing, Acct. 112, Deluxing,, and Testing) and ensuring performance standards are met.Manages HR transactional processes in staffing and training; and assists in action plans to improve performance.Ensures consistency of operational processes within the ORC.Assists ORC/District Manager to plan and manage ORC expenses.Ensures that the ORC adheres to safety policies and procedures.Manages Shipping, Receiving, Pricing, Deluxing, and testing of merchandise in ORC.Manages the ORC warehouse space and offsite storage (if applicable).Maintains facilities and housekeeping.Understands and communicates, to Store and District staff, activities/trends in distribution center, and unique local issues.Ensures that the ORC operates in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.BenefitsAs a Sears professional, your career path options will be determined by your performance as well as your desire to advance further within Sears organization.
