RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide quality service and customer satisfaction to Timberland’s global user community.  Provide technical support for Timberland’s hardware, software and application platforms. Liaise with third party service providers to provide installation, maintenance and warranty services. Maintain incident records for each service request.  Respond to telephone, email or personal requests for technical support providing prompt and thorough solutions. Engage engineering resources as necessary or as directed by management.  Provide second level support for all Help Desk's worldwide.  Document processes and procedures.  Be a part of project teams, and occasionally lead infrastructure projects.  Support shift work/pager rotations on a temporary or permanent basis as necessary or required.  Obtain technical training associated with the direction of the Technology department objectives.  Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS:AS in a related area.  2+ yrs of experience in the field or related area.  Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, desktop hardware platforms, Microsoft Office products, client-server applications, messaging systems, utility software. Networking concepts. Intranet, Internet and Extranet, AS/400, RS/6000.  Excellent communication, multi-tasking and organizational skills.  Superior customer support skills.  Ability to interact with technical staff and end user community, including executive management.  Timberland has been recognized as a Fortune Magazine Best Company to Work For since the survey's inauguration.
