We are seeking a Payroll Clerk to join our Accounting team.  The Payroll Clerk is responsible for the timely and accurate payment of employees in accordance with company policies and federal/state/local laws.  The position accumulates and verifies time and labor, and distributes payroll information.  The Payroll Clerk submits information to the payroll service company, performs back-up responsibilities for other payrolls and department functions, and is a key point of contact for employees regarding payroll inquiries.

 

The ideal candidate will have a high school degree, 3-5 years of basic accounting knowledge/experience, the ability to use a calculator, strong math/analytical ability, strong computer proficiency including Word and Excel, a thorough knowledge of payroll processing and systems (including tax tables and IRS guidelines), and a working knowledge and experience with Ceridian or other payroll systems.  We are seeking a candidate that is detail oriented, accurate, organized, and able to meet continuous deadlines.  Good verbal and written communication skills are required.
