ACE Cash Express, the largest nationwide financial retail service provider, is currently seeking highly motivated leaders in Austin interested in advancing in a fast growing progressive company.  Forbes magazine named ACE Cash Express as one of the Top 200 Best-Run Small Companies in the United States.  This is an exceptional opportunity to be a Part-Time Service Associate with ACE Cash Express, in Tacoma, WA with over 1,800 centers in 38 states and 15% annual revenue growth, is driving business success through people success. The Part-Time Service Associate provides excellent customer service to individuals needing ACE's financial services.  Work involves but is not limited to: check cashing, balancing monies, reporting daily transactions, following security procedures, and performing other financial services duties.This job reports to a Center Manager. If you are interested in growing sales and progressing your career in a rapidly growing company, this is an outstanding opportunity.  We are seeking self-motivated, goal-oriented people with high integrity and a desire to grow a business.  Employment with ACE includes the following: · Competitive Compensation and Growth Potential · Outstanding Benefits (Medical/Health, Prescription, Dental, Vision, 401K Retirement Plan)· Management and Business Skills Training and Development· Promotion opportunities within Texas and throughout the country· Company culture that encourages and compensates achievers· Opportunity to work with a nationwide leader that is expanding throughout the country The Part Time Service Associate will: 1.  Cash checks using established risk analysis (as defined in current training manuals and/or policies and procedures materials) avoiding return items as much as possible2.  Follow appropriate cash handling and inventory procedures3.  Learn to review, interpret and act upon reports including but not limited to: Combined Income Statements within five months of employment4.  Provide and market company services, including but not limited to: check cashing, loans, utility and other bill payment transactions, money order sales, wire transfer services, postage stamp sales, and distribution of other financial services5.  Provide professional and courteous customer service at all times6.  Maintain, count, receive, balance and safeguard cash and other negotiable items according to established policies and procedures to ensure validation of center assets7.  Perform opening and closing procedures, including but not limited to: preparing bank deposits or re-deposits, investigating and resolving report discrepancies, and verifiing money in the cash drawer and safe8.  Follow security and safety policies and procedures in order to maintain a safe working environment; protects company assets and, most importantly, the employees9.  Maintain schedule flexibility to work other centers and shifts as needed10.  Excellent communication skills11.  Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications and Requirements 1.  Some retail/customer service experience preferred2.  Knowledge of basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in all unit measures using whole numbers, percentages, common fractions and decimals3.  Ability to exchange US currency in any denomination4.  Bilingual is a plus Physical Demands The Part-Time Service Associate is required to stand, walk, stoop, crouch, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, reach with arms and hands, and to have appropriate vision to see up close and at a distance with ability to adjust vision and focus.  The employee may occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Ability to work 10-12 hours in a confined work area without leaving the center. Formal lunch breaks are not provided and must be taken at most convenient time around the flow of business.
