Payroll Manager

TitleMax, the industry leader of title lending, is headquartered in serene, historic Savannah, Georgia and is currently seeking a hands-on Payroll Manager with expertise in payroll processes, procedures and timekeeping systems to join their growing team!

The Payroll Manager will be responsible for building a solid payroll practice and managing the daily operations of the payroll department to ensure accurate and timely processing of employees’ pay. Specifically, he/she will serve as the subject matter expert by evaluating and redesigning the payroll processes, procedures and timekeeping systems.



Duties of the Payroll Manager:
Partner with the Payroll Project Manager to evaluate, redesign and streamline the payroll process.
Manage a staff of three and process a complex, bi-weekly, pay current, payroll for 1800+ employees in multiple states.
Calculate and process bonuses, current pay, adjustments, deductions and reimbursements accordingly.
Partner with outsourced payroll vendor to finalize the payroll submission for completion.
Create and run payroll reports through Cognos.
Ensure controls are in place to run payroll efficiently & accurately as possible.
Serve as subject matter expert for all payroll and timekeeping technologies.
Evaluate, analyze and resolve payroll issues.
Partners with other managers in the company and on the HR team to implement special projects.



Requirements for the Payroll Manager:
4 year college degree in Human Resources, Accounting or related field.
A minimum of 7 years experience with a multi-state payroll, greater than 1500 employees.
Certified Payroll Professional is highly desired.
Prior success with evaluating and redesigning payroll processes and workflow.
3 years of supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
Prior success in driving business decisions based on research and analysis of past data in the areas of payroll, timekeeping and HRIS technologies.
Prior experience with successful implementation & integration of payroll & timekeeping systems.
Advanced MS Excel skills.
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
Prior success in driving business decision based on research and analysis including HR vendors in the areas of payroll, timekeeping and HRIS technologies.
