Pharmacy Training Specialist

The primary purpose of this position is to create, revise, and facilitate new and existing pharmacy training programs for Pharmacists and Technicians. Frequent independent judgments are essential. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws. The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned: Create new pharmacy training programs for Pharmacists and Technicians. Review the effectiveness of training programs for continuous improvement. Revise existing training programs.  Interact with all levels of management with regard to their pharmacy training needs and requirements. Work on simultaneous program rollouts. Write pharmacy training manuscripts. Educate associates with regard to initial pharmacy training rollouts. Conduct periodic presentations for training purposes. Coordinate the distribution of training materials to various locations. Assist with creating the department budget. The following qualities are required: Minimum age of 18 years old due to business travel requirements. Ability to work weekends on an occasional basis. Ability to work extended days on an occasional basis. Ability to preserve confidentiality of information. Accuracy and attention to detail. Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes. Ability to work within strict time frames and resolute deadlines. The following qualities are helpful: Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks/projects. Ten-key punch speed of four thousand (4,000) SPH. Typing speed of sixty (60) WPM. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access). Bachelor's degree (BS), Doctoral degree (PHARM.D.) or equivalent in Pharmacy, plus three (3) years' experience in pharmacy operations; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
