POSITION SUMMARY:

 

Support Planner with order processing, order tracking, data retrieval, reporting, and analysis.  Develop skills required for analyzing voyage data, and developing itinerary-specific plans to achieve business goals.  Coordinate and monitor promotions and programs as requested by planner.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Prepare purchase orders for vendors and follow up on all shipments

· Collaborate with vendors to resolve issues regarding performance and flow of goods

·Retrieve voyage data and create standardized reports in an effort to analyze cruise data and take appropriate action to improve future business

· Track key item performance (actual vs. plan)

·Maintain supplier performance records to ensure that Starboard has a clear, up to date picture on our vendors’ strengths and weaknesses

 

JOB SKILLS REQUIRED:

·Ability to work unsupervised in a role that is fast paced, and will involve using personal initiative to develop working procedures that are efficient

·Good organizational and analytical skills

·High level of accuracy required

·Advanced Excel (creation of macros, building of formulas, pivot tables), knowledge of Word and database software helpful.  Knowledge of query tools and Starboard systems a plus

·  Strong numbers aptitude

· Strong interpersonal skills to deal with vendors, vessel personnel and other team members involved in Merchandise Planning

· Strong oral and written communication skills

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelors Degree in business related field preferred

·Minimum two years administrative/office experience, preferable in a fast-paced environment
