We are seeking to fill our Planning and Allocation Analyst position in our Corporate Office located in Fairfield.


Overview

The Planning and Allocation Analyst is accountable for the inventory management activities of the retail and wholesale channels.  This position will be responsible for forecasting, planning and distributing inventory to company-owned retail stores along with major wholesale accounts to achieve targeted objectives.  Responsibilities will also include leading system, process and tool improvements to create efficient and scalable supply chain and inventory management operations.

 

Major Responsibilities

§  Manage inventory levels at key wholesale accounts.  Establish allocation and replenishment parameters at category and SKU level.  Adjust parameters based on available open to buy, sales trends and forecasts to optimize sales, margin and inventory turn.

§  Establish and measure key operational and financial performance indicators to enable proactive management of inventory, maximize service levels, optimal resource utilization, minimize risk and reduce total cost.  Communicate and present key performance indicators to organization.

§  Drive the implementation of system enhancements and process improvements to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of operations.

§  Collaborate with Distribution Center to improve logistics and inventory flow. 

§  Key point of contact for Wholesale Sales and Wholesale Operations on inventory-related issues.  Interface directly with customers as necessary.

§  Subject Matter Expert for inventory systems, processes and tools.

Qualifications:

§  5-7 years related experience.  Prior experience in wholesale account management and with allocation and replenishment.

§  Communication skills:  Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.  Can build and maintain productive cross-functional partnerships.  Able to set and manage clear expectations with internal customers.

§  Analytic skills: Strong detail-orientation, but able to see how details fit together in the overall picture.  Exceptional problem solving abilities.

§  Time management skills: Focused on meeting deadlines and following through on commitments.  Able to manage workload according to priorities.

§  Computer skills: Excellent MS Excel and MS Access skills.  SQL skills desired.  Experience with JDE or similar ERP system.  Ability to learn new systems and tools quickly.

§  BA/BS degree required.
