Principal Programmer Analyst - J2EE/Ariba

Act as technical lead for development of new functionalityPerform detailed analysis and design software solutions that are flexible and scalable. Participate in all phases of project lifecycle and create documentation that complies with Staples SDLC practices.Partner with the business to identify optimal solutions in support of company objectives. Communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of associates and external vendors/partners. Qualifications Bachelors of Science degree or equivalent experience.Managing execution while working effectively and efficiently with team membersAbility to work with minimal supervision. Must be adaptable to performing roles as lead technical designer or developerMinimum of 5 to 8 years working experience required2 - 3 yrs experience with HTML, XML, JavaScript.2 yrs programming in J2EE.Working knowledge of WebSphere Object-Oriented design and methodology.Excellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to design, code, and test complex system components within Java/J2EE. Experience with the Java Programming language is required for some customizations.Strong understanding of service based architectureStrong contributor, self-motivated and business orientedExcellent written and communications skills are required in this role to gather and synthesize requirements from various internal groups before implementing the required processes.Results oriented and able to make reliable progress on assignmentsAble to take technical lead role on development and support initiativesAriba Buyer 8.x Experience a plus but not required.
