Principal Programmer Analyst - Oracle Financials

This role as a Principal Programmer Analyst for Financial Services will have extensive interaction with the business to understand requests and define and develop quality global solutions. The person must have functional and technical expertise related to Oracle Financial applications and must be comfortable supporting third party package systems. Position requires expertise in both functional and technical expertise in Oracle Financials. Interact with the business to understand their requirements and provide 'best in class' solutions that can be leveraged globally.Provide technical programming and analysis expertise for Oracle Financial applications. Position will involve providing technical expertise in defining solutions that may involve modification to forms, triggers, reports, interfaces, and developing conversion programs that will support the roll out of Oracle Financial applications globally. Candidate will need to be comfortable providing some support to Oracle Financial and other third party applications. Prepare detailed design documents, technical specifications, and unit test scripts.Perform unit test, support user test, and perform SQL tuning as required.Works with limited supervision while providing adequate information to appropriate managers. Qualifications A Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems or equivalent work experience is required.Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.Must have demonstrated ability to work with users to understand, document, and provide solutions to users.Must have experience working with users to translate their requirements into technical specifications.Strong experience in Oracle PL/SQL with practical knowledge of Oracle 8.x or later database structures.Strong Experience in Oracle Developer Tools (Forms, Reports, Discoverer).Experience in Unix shell scripting.2-4 years experience in Oracle Financials applications (AP, GL, AR, FA, CE), 11i experience is desirableExperienced in structured development methodology (define, design, develop and deploy).Experience working with Oracle support and managing support TAR's with Oracle is a plus.Ability to work independently, to juggle multiple tasks, excellent written and oral communication skills, solid understanding of project lifecycle and a positive customer service attitude.Ability to perform application assessment of third party tools is desirable.Must be able to travel.
