Production Planner

Hudson Jeans is presently looking for a Production Planner for our corporate office in Commerce, CA.

 

PRODUCTION PLANNER

 

Responsibilities:

 

The primary responsibilities of this position are to plan, purchase, track and manage all fabric and trim needed for production.  Specific duties will include:

 Developing all long range fabric and trim plans, consistent with company sales and production goals

 Working closely with Design, Sales and the Production Manager to develop accurate fabric and trim projections

 Negotiating market competitive prices on all fabric and trim purchases

 Issue all fabric and trim purchase orders, insuring accuracy and timeliness

 Analyzing all fabric and trim needs for a rolling 12-month period and insure a flow of fabric and trim to meet all forecasted production needs

 Arranging and tracking all fabric and trim deliveries

 Maintaining fabric and trim inventories at the minimum level necessary to insure that production needs are met, including allowances for unanticipated interruptions in supply

 Building and maintaining strong positive relationships with all suppliers

 Selecting the most cost competitive and reliable fabric and trim suppliers that can meet design/production specifications

 Establishing and maintaining good communications and working relationships with Design, the VP of Sales, and the fabric and trim warehouse supervisors

 Assisting in other Production planning activities, as needed



Qualifications:



3-5 years production planning experience in denim product

Knowledge of denim fabric, garment construction and washExcellent understanding of the manufacturing cycle including initial development of product through stock delivery and inventory

Excellent planning and analytical skills

Strong attention to detail

Strong MS office suite, including advanced excel skills

Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
