Project Manager, Supply Chain Applications

Job SummaryProvides project leadership to an IT Applications team. Includes tasks in areas such as data processing, systems programming/analysis, and systems/network administration. Oversees projects that deal with internal systems or customer services. Keeps management informed of schedules, priorities, and problems. Ensures the proper planning, control, direction and evaluation of all activity related to the development and/or on-going maintenance of application systems.  Ensures Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process and procedures are followed and is the IT business Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the application(s) and all related processes. Key Tasks and Responsibilities Plans, organizes and controls the execution of the program and system development efforts. Reviews and evaluates all requests for services and assists user in identifying and defining business information needs.Directs, evaluates and approves all project framework deliverables.  May provide technical support in the analysis and design of complex systems.Directs and evaluates development of applications programs.Provides technical support in the development of complex programs.Reviews and evaluates all applications to ensure efficient design, coding and conformance with standards and proceduresDirects User and Operations Turnover procedures.Plans and directs all training needs or professional staff. Ensures that all functions and activities are performed in accordance with accepted department standards and procedures.Forecasts service demands in order to anticipate staffing levels, personnel skill requirements and hardware needsConducts periodic evaluations of professional staff to assess performance and determine conformance with applicable standards and procedures.Reports the status of all projects to the User and IT Management. Programming or equivalent technical experience Sophisticated Analysis and Design experience Considerable expertise in all aspects of Analysis, Systems Design and Project Management.  Excellent communications (oral and written) Project management and organizational skills.
