Project Specialist

PROJECT SPECIALIST-Is a Supervisory position it's responsible for operational readiness, training and merchandising new stores, moves, expands and remodels/optimization projects in accordance with the company?s established policies and procedures plans, design criteria and merchandise presentation guidelines. Manages and/or coordinates the activities of all members involved in the process - Contractors, Fixture Installers, Store Team Leaders and Team Members. Responsiblities include: setting up the store within the time frame specifics and managing the preopening budget and expense per project. Responsible for ensuring the budgeted capital for fixtures and other improvements are executed to plan, while ensuring the inventory is received and merchandised according to company plan.Managing the Store Opening Process. Coordinates with the SSC staff, consisting of Operations, Store Planning, MIS Department, Telecommunications, Merchandising, Construction, Logistics, Store Facilities, as well as contractors, fixture installers, Store Team Leaders and Department Supervisors, for the efficient, effective and proper installation of storefixtures,Planograms,merchandise and any other necessary materials. Provides paperwork, reports and appropriate communications as necessary. Provides continual feedback and ideas to develop Store Project processes and improvement. Handles all project related issues and works for a timely resolution.Coach and train the Store Leadership Team on the processes needed to successfully complete the project on time and on budget. Sets daily, weekly and monthly project guidelines for staff with the STL. Manages the work of team members to ensure timeliness and quality of tasks. Works with STL to handle any disciplinary/corrective actions when necessary.Communicates with Store Team Leaders and District Team Leaders as to the progress of project. Coordinates with STL & DTL the allocation of staffing for transition from project store to an active store.
