Purchasing Agent - Hunton Distribution

Hunton Distribution is currently seeking an experienced Purchasing Agent for our office located at the Beltway and Westpark Dr. This position will relocated within the year to a new office located near Intercontinental Airport.

Description:

The Purchasing Agent submits replenishment orders and maintains appropriate inventory levels for five Hunton distribution locations. The Purchasing Agent is required to do constant calculations requiring strong mathematical skill and attention to detail. There is significant interaction with Sales Management, Branch Sales Staff, and Field Sales that requires excellent communication skills. This position is responsible for approximately $13 million dollars in purchased products.

Responsibilities:Uses system generated replenishment reports to determine requirements and place purchase orders with Trane to fill needs.Monitors inventory levels and audits receipts at all locations to ensure customer demand is satisfied.minimal acceptable fill rate for Trane parts for any location in 96% short term. The standard of performance, over time, is 97.5%. Inputs data required to set up new products in database.Prepares standard and special reports related to inventory status, fill rates, financial investment, and other as may be required.Tracks flow of factory direct ship orders and emergency repair orders to ensure timely entry.Participates in routine meeting with Hunton Parts leadership to validate that the purchasing efforts remain in sync with sales strategies.Execute cycle count program for parts inventory, at selected locations, determine cause of discrepancies and initiates corrective actions.
