QA Analyst

GameFly, the leading subscription-based video game rental company is currently seeking a qualified QA Analyst to join its expanding, in-house team in Culver City, CA.

 

The QA Analyst will be responsible for the overall quality of all applications for GameFly (Warehouse, Website, and all internal applications).  This individual would be involved in creating test cases, submitting bugs to developers, and manual and automated testing.

 

Job Responsibilities

 Work with project managers to develop test cases. Responsible for decisions regarding application changes for projects. Interface with project managers and development resources. Participate in test case development, manual testing, and validation of all applications using knowledge of documentation reviews and requirements analysis.Build and execute test scripts using knowledge of standard validation techniques and quality standards.Contribute to the improvement of software development quality control processes and procedures.Build conformance of test plans and test cases. Follow established guidelines in the management of reporting defects using defect tracking tools.

 Core QualificationsHands-on Quality Assurance testing experience across all phases of the QA process.Knowledge of SQL Server database (T-SQL, Store Procedures, DTS Packages, etc.), including working knowledge of relational database best practices.Experience working on large systems with heavy data requirements.Strong technical background together with the ability to work closely and cooperatively with development staff.Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects and possess time management skills to complete simultaneous tasks.Knowledge of documentation reviews and requirements analysis.Knowledge and experience of validation techniques, quality standards, and metrics.Ability to work in a self-driven, complex environment with multiple and changing priorities.Desire to learn and use new technologies. Education/Experience

 Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or related fieldThree years experience as a QA Analyst
