QA Tester

 

Responsibilities:

· Assisting with the implementation and testing of new features/functions that are being implemented into FTD's Florist Online website and other florist-facing technologies

· Preparing and executing test plans for application enhancements from requirements

· Preparing test reporting for the program and distributing it as needed

· Maintaining a library of created tests and changing the tests as the business rules change

· Attaining a firm understanding of the business rules along with the new features/functions that are being implemented

· Take initiative to raise/resolve requirements issues/questions

· Estimate test effort and reflect in overall project plan

· Document and test defects

· Work collaberatively with business analysts, business areas, and technical staff

 

 

Knowledge and Experience:

· Familiarity with Windows applications, PC platforms a must.

· Knowledge of MS SQL Server preferred.

· Past experience using HP Quality Center tool for defect tracking is preferred.

· Must be detail oriented, very organized, and a quick learner.

· Experience with MS Word, Project, and Excel is preferred

· 2 - 5 years experience in quality assurance

· A college degree is preferred

· Knowledge of automated test tools such as Quick Test Professional and/or Load Runner is preferred
