Job Location: Jacksonville, FL 32210 Status: Full Time, Employee Industry: Retail Receiving Supervisor Position SummaryStein Mart is currently seeking a fun, friendly and energetic person to join our Store Team as a Receiving Supervisor. We are looking for someone to maintain an efficient, safe and secure Receiving Department, coordinate receiving and stockroom operations, assist with the selecting and training of Receiving Associates. Primary ResponsibilitiesCoordinating and completing Receiving Department activities, Following all Stein Mart receiving policies and procedures, Assigning and explaining daily work tasks to Associates; Accurately recording and retaining detailed information; Managing freight information for merchandise and supply shipments; Maintaining clean and orderly receiving, stock and store common areas; Control receiving supply costs; Providing information and communicating effectively; Building relationships that foster a healthy team environment; Organizing department workflow; Partnering with the Store Management Team to interview, select and hire Associates, Using Stein Mart training and development resources to develop job skills, providing information and demonstrating skills to help others learn; Contributing to creating a safe and secure store environment. Preferred QualificationsHigh school graduate or equivalent (GED); 1 to 2 years experience in receiving management; Numeric reasoning to include proficiency in adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and calculating percentages. Basic computer literacy using a computer in a Windows environment; Willingness to cooperate and work with others to achieve daily productivity results; Exhibit strong organizational skills; Detail oriented with a willingness to follow through, complete tasks to meet deadlines and problem solve; Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing; Ability to assume a leadership role in a supervisory capacity; Heavy physical effort required; Routine lifting of 20lbs or more; Walking, standing, stooping, reaching and lifting will constitute 100% of a work shift; Ability to identify colors; Use of equipment to include but not limited to freight elevator, freight conveyor belt, rolling racks, pallet jacks, hand carts, ladders, dollies, trash compactor, calculator and computer keyboard; Prior retail department store and/or receiving experience. Our BenefitsIn addition to competitive benefits and compensation, we offer a dynamic and friendly work environment where dedication and hard work are recognized and rewarded.
