Regional Engineer, LogisticsWe currently have a position opening for a Regional Engineer to work out of Mount Olive, New Jersey. The Regional Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing technical projects that support continuous improvement of four hard line distribution centers.  The incumbent leads cross-functional operational and engineering teams without direct reporting influence.  They must lead others to change current methods and procedures to ensure that logistics strategies are implemented effectively and adequately sustained to deliver the determined. This role will be accountable the training and development of Distribution Center field engineers and engineering analysts, and will drive improvements “inside the four walls” of four Distribution Centers in the East, to ensure the Region is successful in meeting its store support mission.  Additionally, the Region Engineer leads the development, analysis and selection of distribution improvement opportunities as well as manage projects of large benefit/capital investment distribution projects.  Finally, this role will maintain the Toys “R” Us Engineered Standards Program. Essential requirements include: a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations Analysis, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field, and a minimum of six (6+) years work experience as a Project Manager, Industrial Engineer, Operations Management or Consultant, preferably with large retailers. A strong distribution background and proven skills in management of projects and cross-functional teams is strongly preferred. Strong analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to break a problem or opportunity down into sub-components are essential skills for this position, as well as strong leadership and excellent communication skills.Apply to:  hiring@toysrus.com EOE
