As our Regional Stores Director, you'll lead a region of retail stores and their District Store Directors, providing focus and direction to ensure the overall performance of the stores meets the division's goals in the areas of sales generation, expense control, profits, human resource management, customer service, merchandise management and operational excellence. You'll work directly with the Director of Stores to develop strategies and action plans to ensure business plan objectives are met. You'll develop a strategic plan to meet human resource needs within the region, direct and monitor District Store Directors' efforts and success in achieving their own district plans, and ensure the region's plan is developed to achieve these goals. You'll also closely monitor the progress of and direct efforts to solve problem areas and create a comprehensive development plan for all District Managers and other direct reports. You'll ensure that the District Managers have created comprehensive development plans for all store management teams and that Store Managers have a plan for all store employees. You'll monitor the progress of all training initiatives and regularly communicate with Retail HR and senior training partners on the progress and needs of the field team. You'll develop regional targets for sales and profits, direct the efforts of the District Store Directors to create budgets that will achieve financial targets, and participate in monthly re-forecasting activities to clarify opportunities and challenges. You'll also develop and monitor a comprehensive capital budget for the region to maintain the brand image and maximize opportunities to improve sales, profits and employee morale. You'll ensure that store appearance and service levels are consistently at expected standards, communicate regularly with the Director of Stores and the Director of Visual regarding any issues that can affect the brand, and direct the efforts of advertising and events within the region. You'll also ensure field feedback, ideas, recommendations, etc. are communicated to the appropriate retail partners. In addition, you'll also ensure that appropriate information is communicated to all field employees in a timely and appropriate manner, including directives, initiatives, general information, feedback, etc. Requirements for the position include: - Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field - 10 years' progressively responsible retail management experience - 5+ years' experience managing multiple stores - Experience managing multiple concepts is preferred - Extensive experience and the ability to excel in delivering a high level of customer service in a brand image retailer - Retail operations, budgeting, planning, customer service, sales and people management experience - Ability to travel up to 30-40% of the time - Demonstrated ability to build, lead and manage high-performing teams - Build and sustain an environment that minimizes high-risk employee relations and legal issues - Basic computer skills, including email, spreadsheets, etc. Of course our commitments don't stop with our customers.
