PetSmart is an Equal Opportunity EmployerWith many positions offering relocation packages, learn more about Life in PhoenixJob Responsibilities: SUMMARY This position is responsible for ensuring that the right product is at the right stores at the right time by managing the analysis, coordination, communication, reporting, product flow and incremental quantities of assigned replenishment events within the supply chain. This position will execute, analyze, and report on assigned replenishment events. Assigned replenishment events may include monthly planners, seasonal categories, Chinese New Year, weather driven events, vendor closures, Christmas, employee discount days and web events. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES • Will manage and change the flow of replenishment event volume into DCs. This is a dynamic process, managing to the different characteristic of each event and needs of each DC. • Will manage and change the flow of replenishment event volume into stores. This is a dynamic process, adjusting to the different characteristic of each event and needs of each store. • Provide detail volume visibility to our business partners. This will assist our business partners in planning and budgeting (labor, equipment needs, etc). • Will determine the appropriate timing and correct quantities needed to support all assigned replenishment events. The actions associated with this task would include but are not limited to, planner quantity changes, creation of seasonality profiles and quantity adjustments to seasonal categories. • Implement the replenishment event best practices that will ensure that department and company business and financial goals are met. • Responsible for creating and updating weekly status reports for all assigned replenishment events. Reports to include metrics for Event Sell Though, Event Instocks, Event Inventory, etc. • Analyze and provide feedback that will be used to enhance replenishment event reporting. • Ensure the assigned replenishment events have adequate and appropriate safeguards in place to protect company assets and intellectual property. • Ensure adequate communication regarding assigned replenishment events is flowing to the event team, replenishment, distribution centers, transportation, stores and our vendors. • Identify replenishment event exceptions and adjust accordingly. • Will be responsible for replenishment event instocks, inventory, volume flow, and overall success of all replenishment events. Qualifications: EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Retailing required. 1- 3 years experience in supply chain management is required. Experience with replenishment/planning management and systems (e.g. DPR, SAP, E3, Retek, etc.) required. Thorough knowledge of supply chain management strategies and concepts required. Retail experience preferred. ADDITIONAL SKILLS Demonstrated ability to analyze best available data and suggest calculated business risks to drive strategic change within a team based organization. Strong problem solving skills (i.e. critical and evaluative thinking) required. Ability to recommend and develop business plans and strategies. Excellent influencing, communication, interpersonal and facilitation skills. Must be a self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures of particular field of specialization to the completion of difficult assignments. FINANCIAL DIMENSIONS Contributory responsibility with peers for generation of revenue and profitable business. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None. MAJOR CHALLENGE Balancing the need for getting the right product at the right stores at the right time for all replenishment events while meeting the needs of our vendors, distribution centers, transportation and stores.
