Position Summary: The Retail Assistant Store Manager assists store manager with the operation of the store as well as supervision store employees. The Retail Assistant Store Manager may assist in the hiring, training and development of their employees. They will generate sales through their team, perform outstanding customer service and manage within budget guidelines to maximize profits through sales goals and margin and expense control.

 

Responsibilities:

Assist Store Manager with:

*         Maintaining an atmosphere geared to achieving sales and profit goals.

*         Ensuring staff is trained in customer service as established by the company.

*         Ensuring staff delivers consistent, excellent customer service in accordance with

         our standards.

*         Resolving Customer issues and requests in an efficient and quick manner.

*         Maintaining a cohesive, cooperative work environment through team building and

         motivation.

*         Maintaining merchandising to corporate standards.

*         Controlling all store expenses within budget guidelines

*         Managing cash/asset loss prevention policies and procedures.

*         Adhering to and setting the example for policies regarding customer service

        expectations, image and dress code and professional standards.

 

Requirements:

*         Education: Minimum grade 12 education or equivalence.

*         Job-Related Skills: Previous experience in retail field preferred.

*         Job-Related Experience: Five years retail experience, one -- two years management experience preferred.

*         Analytical / Interpretive Skills: Assist with training and coaching new and existing employees as well as educating customers. Embrace the company's corporate philosophy and core values and operating principles.

*         Communication Skills: Excellent communication, leadership and organizational skills. Comfortable managing and supervising people. Professional attitude and ability to be flexible and deal with change.

 

*    Additional qualities:  A passion for cooking is a plus.
