Retail Category Manager

A Global Sailboat company has an exciting new opportunity for a Retail Category Manager for our US operations whose primary concern is to lead and be responsible, end to end, for the retail category including e-commerce.

This is a unique opportunity to be involved in the set up and development of our retail and e-commerce platforms.  This role will report to the Managing Director.

 

The role includes:

·  Plan and manage the implementation of the overall performance of the category to achieve the annual and long-term business plan.

·  Support and coordinate the brand strategy for the category.

·  Manage weekly and monthly financial information as needed including sales, forecast, accounts receivable, inventory and credits.

·  Establish targets and service levels for each territory.

·  Manage and lead teams across functions and territories for sales, marketing, consumer services, purchasing, logistics and other operations to meet the business plan.

·  Support each territory to review, manage and maintain their operations in an efficient and coordinated manner.

·  Prepare briefs or contracts and manage relationships with outside partners for services related to operations, marketing and merchandising, purchasing, IT, legal and finance administration.

 

You will demonstrate:Experience and understanding of positioning and building of premium consumer brands.At least 5 years experience in retail management, particularly e-commerce.Experience of business development.Commercial thinking – focusing on the customer in whatever you do.Proven leadership and teambuilding skills – inspiring people to work with you.A College degree in business administration or related field.
