Retail General Manager - Plano, TX

Staples’ General Managers are responsible for supporting and executing our Easy Brand Promise by: · Demonstrating and reinforcing the behaviors that make every shopping experience “Easy” for our customers.· Actively developing and maintaining a team approach in the day-to-day management of store associates.· Developing associates using coaching, observation and feedback tools that will result in improved performance.· Effectively coordinating and managing all store activities including inventory, backroom, facility maintenance, front end and money room.· Achieving and exceeding budgeted sales and profit goals. The most qualified candidates for this position have the following skills and experience: · A minimum of 4-5 years progressively responsible store management experience in a high volume retail environment.· Strong leadership and team management skills.· Excellent communication and customer service skills.· Ability to drive sales in a customer service focused environment.· Bachelor’s degree preferred.
