Retail Sales Associate/Assistant Manager

Enthusiastic, mature, customer service-oriented person wanted as full time Sales Associate/Assistant Manager of an upscale Newbury St. store selling stylish, earth-friendly gifts, accessories and home goods.  We sell a wide range of beautiful, interesting and creative “green” products.

The successful candidate will provide the consistent staffing on the sales floor, and work with the owner and part-time employees to deliver a first-rate, customer-centered shopping experience.  The full-time sales associate/assistant manager will have a variety of administrative responsibilities in addition to working on the selling floor.

We are a young organization. This position is one that can grow with the right person –write our newsletter, conceive and execute promotional events, and take on a variety of special projects. The sales associate/assistant manager will also assume additional responsibilities when online shopping is enabled in the coming months.

Qualifications:  College degree preferred;    Experience in a high-end retail environment preferred, but not essential;  Maturity, intelligence, good judgment, sense of style  and  professionalism are key; Excellent verbal, and exceptional written communication skills; Organized and detail oriented;   Good basic computer skills;  Professional demeanor and appearance;  

 

Tuesday through Saturday schedule; flexibility is a must; additional hours may be required during seasonal peak periods.

Compensation commensurate with qualifications and experience.
