Retail Systems & Reporting Specialist

We’re a marketer and supplier of brand-name, private label and licensed footwear to department stores, mass-merchandisers, and independent and specialty stores.Do you get a thrill out of balancing multiple deadlines and enjoy the rush during the month end close process? A Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years relevant accounting systems experience is needed as well as advanced Excel and system query and upload skills. If you've got the technical know how and the ability to find creative solutions to reach report objectives, you have our attention. ition Accountabilities: Assures timely and accurate reporting of daily, weekly and monthly financial performance for Famous Footwear and/or Specialty Retail Assures the accuracy and integrity of the companys financial management software, Peoplesoft Assures the identification, development and implementation of initiatives to automate, eliminate and consolidate processes, tasks and reports.Position Essential Functions: Initiates discussions with process owners to identify reports, tasks or processes subject to automation or elimination Drives implementation of top priority tasks through collaboration with process owners and financial management Provides systems support to the Retail Finance team Develops and maintains Peoplesoft infrastructure for multiple business units Ensures that all data files are accurate and updated by assigned deadlines Assists in validating the accuracy of PeopleSoft and PeopleSoft generated reporting Leads the development of automated reporting tools to replace existing manual processes Responds timely and accurately to ad hoc requests for information Reconciles financial data from multiple sources for both business units Explores new methods for providing the necessary reports Develops infrastructure to easily create new reports or views of existing reports upon request Trains users to utilize existing reporting tools.Position Specifications: Educational Preference: Bachelor's degree, preferred Job Experience Preference: 2-3 years relevant accounting systems experience Personality Characteristics: Confident, intelligent, aggressive and competitive Strong attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to work cohesively in a team environment Solid time management and organization skills Strong customer service skills Strong verbal and written communication skillsSoftware/Hardware Experience Preference: PeopleSoft experience, including queries and uploads, preferred Advanced Excel skill set System query experience, AS400 preferredCommunication Skills
