SENIOR DESIGNER

Senior Designer, Abercrombie & Fitch, New Albany, Ohio. Work with CAD technology in the creation of new designs for seasonal boys knitwear design collections. Build detailed technical design packs utilizing designers initial flat sketches and trim sheets. Create detailed technical illustration & specs. Develop close working relationships with Design, Merchandising and Sourcing. Communicate with factories, identifying sewing line problems. Review and fit samples, providing fit comments for designs. Participate in fit sessions. Create and communicate pattern revisions, incorporating styling and fit changes as needed. Adhere to design policy and company standards for specifications and stylistic requirements for the collections. Evaluate construction, color, clarity and quality of fit product samples, reporting results to manufacturers. Prepare pattern blocks for new fits on specialized systems. Assist in pattern making, grading, garment construction, draping and fitting. Minimum requirements include: Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design plus 5 yrs of progressive professional experience.
