SENIOR H.R. GENERALIST - New York
SENIOR HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST
Position Summary:
Under general direction of the Director of Human Resources, is responsible for the administration of recruitment and selection, training and development, employee relations and implementing Human Resources best practices within the corporate environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following
1. Oversee all recruitment and hiring strategies for positions within the New York Showroom.
2. Gather and outline objectives for each open position with the hiring manager to develop accurate job descriptions, qualifications, required skills and salary rate.
3. Partner with hiring manager on interviewing practices and strategies.
4. Source and screen candidates to adequately align for open positions.
5. Coordinate the interview process, and act as liaison for the interviewing process.
6. Create, coordinate and organize Job Requisitions for open positions.
7. Coordinate Orientation for newly hired associates.
8. Investigate and formally respond to employee relation issues.
9. Oversee all employee relation issues and disciplinary actions, supports and advises management with progressive discipline management, termination and separation requirements.
10. Administrator of Human Resources policies, practices and procedures.
11. Manages personnel files and record keeping regulatory compliance by administering internal compliance audits.

Education and/or Experience
College degree preferred or high school diploma/general education degree (GED) and 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
HR Certification also preferred.
Computer Skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Word, Excel. Preferred experience with ADP and Report-Smith.
