Company Goody's Family Clothing Location Cullman, AL Status Full Time, Employee Job Category Customer Support/Client Care Company Goody's Family Clothing Reference Code 12 STORE MANAGER POSITION SUMMARY:Provides professional and positive leadership that creates and encourages an environment of teamwork and mutual respect, where both customers and Associates are valued.  Is accountable for driving sales by providing an excellent shopping experience for the customer.  Is responsible for ensuring that the store fulfills established financial goals and objectives.  Ensures that the store meets operational and merchandising standards by following Company guidelines, policies, and procedures. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:· Creates an outstanding store environment where the Customer enjoys shopping and the Associate enjoys working· Hires outstanding individuals in every position and provides the training and development to make each Associate successful in serving the customer and performing their duties in the store.· Communicates and effectively manages all Company programs and store activities.· Ensures a premier level of internal and external customer service.· Creates a positive working environment for all store Associates by valuing and encouraging diversity, mutual respect, and teamwork.· Achieves sales, shrinkage, expense, and profit goals.· Ensures that total store operations are carried out in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.· Executes and maintains merchandise presentation and housekeeping standards in all areas.· Directs loss prevention and safety activities to protect company assets and ensure the safety and security of Associates and customers.· Ensures that the store is adequately staffed with qualified individuals at all times.· Ensures that all Associates receive effective training and continual feedback through coaching, counseling, and recognition.· Provides ongoing performance management for all Associates, and invites Associate comments and interaction.· Identifies and develops Associates for promotional opportunities and future assignments to meet current and future business needs.· Represents the Company and the store in the local community, and creates an ongoing mutually beneficial civic relationship.· Other duties as may be assigned. REQUIREMENTS:EDUCATION:  A Bachelors degree is preferred. EXPERIENCE: A minimum three years total retail management experience, at least one year of which must be retail apparel management.  A work history that exhibits a pattern of growth and stability.
