Benchmark Brands currently operates a 150,000 ft. fulfillment center in Memphis, TN shipping 1.7 million orders annually and an 85 seat call center at its headquarters. Join our entrepreneurial, customer-centric company in the role of Vice President, Operations at our Atlanta (Norcross), GA headquarters WHO WE ARE LOOKING FORThe individual we seek is an experienced direct-to-consumer (catalog/internet retailing) operations executive who has generated significant impact through the strategic and tactical direction of both B2C fulfillment centers and inbound call centers. The VP of Operations will direct Director-level operational managers in fulfillment (receiving, replenishment, pick, pack, ship, inventory control, QA and returns processing), and call center operations (customer care, order management, quality performance measurement, and revenue enhancement programs). In addition this person will lead staff in recruiting, training, mentoring and developing both management and non-exempt associates to meet business objectives while being aligned with the company’s core values. The position will report directly to the President/CEO, and will serve as a member of the executive team. Responsibilities Include:  · Strategic planning and tactical execution to enhance profitability, productivity, and efficiency throughout the company’s operations.· Develop and direct the management of our remote Fulfillment/Distribution Center to ensure fast order processing, accurate inventory control, proper and timely receipt/stocking of goods, cost-efficient shipping direct to customers, and effective processing of returns. · Manage logistics, outbound transportation processes and negotiate parcel freight programs. · Implement improved warehouse management processes and methods to generate higher ROI and workflow optimizations.· Develop and direct the management of our Customer Call Center to ensure customer satisfaction, improved call efficiency, low abandonment, increased revenue through upsell and promotional programs, and improved employee product knowledge and training. Implement processes and systems that will generate higher productivity and revenues.· Interact regularly with executive team and individual department heads to ensure that company’s operational priorities are aligned with total company direction.· Continually investigate and introduce process improvement measures and present suggestions to CEO for consideration.· Participate in vendor negotiations to ensure product relevance and cost-efficiency. Position Requirements:  · BS Degree required; MBA highly desirable· 10+ years senior-level operations experience in a direct-to-consumer catalog, Internet retailing, home shopping or third party B-C logistics environment · 5+ years management experience relating to fulfillment/distribution/shipping/outbound logistics/warehousing · 4+ years management experience relating to an inbound call center warehouse management· Experience with warehousing and fulfillment “best practices” including warehousing procedures and systems· Solid knowledge and understanding of retail operations technologies, systems and software; experience with Ecometry order management platform highly preferred· Proven track record of measurable results in improving profitability, revenue generation, productivity, and efficiency· Experience in the successful hiring, directing, and developing of supervisory staff· Strong record of leadership, sound judgment, decision-making and problem resolution and ability to manage process documentation and process reporting· Strong vendor negotiation skills WHAT WE WILL PROVIDE TO YOU We offer a very competitive salary and bonus program as well as a strong benefits package including 401k.
